Dr. Dean Howell was born and raised north of Seattle. After earning a BA in Mathematics from the University of Washington in 1978, he received his ND from Bastyr University in 1982. He began his career with a family naturopathic practice in Everett, Washington, before specializing in NeuroCranial Restructuring. In 2001, he founded NCR-01, which later evolved into the Church of Divine Structure Priory 175 in 2019. In 2019, Dr. Howell and his partner, Rebecca Hart-Malter, were ordained as healing ministers in the Sacred Medical Order of the Knights of Hope. Since then, they have transitioned from licensed health practitioners to full-time healing ministers. Dr. Howell has four children and four grandchildren. His second wife, author and actress Trisha Howell, passed away in 2012. Together, they established Howell Canyon Estate in Tonasket, Washington—a project that remains a meaningful part of his life with Rebecca. When not at the estate, Dr. Howell and Rebecca travel between healing locations in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Denver, and Philadelphia. Their Brooklyn-based storefront, The Essence of Life, serves as a key hub for their work.
